“Time Bomb Season” is the debut full length album by indie-alternative act Butterfly Haus, the music project of Brooklyn-based producer and recording artist Osaze Akerejah. Crafted in the aftermath of a stage-4 cancer diagnosis, a rocky period of existential angst, and scuffles with heartbreak, the album’s core revolves around hope vs hopelessness as well as the anxiety birthed from pressure and processing pain. Butterfly Haus’ unique blend of synth pop, hip-hop, 80’s new wave and indie rock come into full focus on this melodically rich, emotionally resonant and lyrically dense 10-track odyssey. Although Butterfly Haus has released a handful of previous projects under Akerejah’s original moniker “ SAZE”, the “ Time Bomb Season” album is both a reinvention and robust expansion of the former sound, blazing an exciting and electric new trail.
